Insights Pipelines¶
Insights pipelines run as batch tasks on files in your NeuroScale storage. Most generate an HTML report for each file (or study) passed to them. Each page below describes what the pipeline computes, the sections of its report, and its parameters.
Individual session¶
Pipelines that analyze one recording session at a time.

| EEG Session Quality Report | Topoplots and tables showing the signal quality of every channel (line noise, high-frequency noise, artifacts, channel correlation). |
| fNIRS Session Quality Report | Quality metrics for fNIRS data on the raw intensity, optical density and HbO/HbR signals. |
| Preprocess EEG | Preprocesses EEG only and saves the result as <filename>.preprocessed.h5. Does not generate a report. |
| Resting State Spectral Analysis Report | Eyes-closed vs eyes-open spectral analysis with statistics: spectra, bandpower and connectivity. |
| ERP Cognitive Task Analysis Report | ERP/ERN analysis of an event-related task: ERP waveforms, peak amplitudes and latencies, ERSP, spectra and bandpower. |
| Workload/Relaxation + Spectral Analysis Report | Workload and relaxation metrics over time, with optional spectral statistics between two conditions. |
| fNIRS Block Average Report | Preprocessing and block-average analysis of an event-related fNIRS task. |
| fNIRS GLM Analysis Report | Preprocessing and GLM analysis of an event-related fNIRS task: canonical HRF topoplots and FIR estimates. |
| Cardiac + EMG Analysis Report | Heart rate, heart rate variability and EMG analysis. |
Multi-session and group¶
Pipelines that combine several sessions or participants into one statistical report.

| 2x2 ERP Group Analysis Report | ERP statistics for a 2x2 factorial study using mass univariate ANOVA. |
| 2x2 Spectra Group Analysis Report | Power spectra and bandpower statistics for a 2x2 factorial study using mass univariate ANOVA. |
| Group fNIRS GLM Report | Group-level (between-subjects) statistics for each condition: canonical HRF GLM topoplots and FIR concentration estimates. |
